Hunting trip.

crazychicknladySunday afternoon, M took the kids dove hunting.
He got it into his head that our dog Pete was asking to go hunting out in the desert. After a lot of unhappy looks from the kids - thanks to what happened to Hazel last year (Hazel's never allowed to go hunting again even if it did turn out like this) - they all three decided to tag along to keep an eye on Pete.
M got 5 birds, Pete proved himself to be a good swimmer, and a lousy hunter, the kids saw at least 20 toads, and no one got lost.
