Gamer day, well sort of.
Sep. 17th, 2010 06:41 pmToday we went to gamer day and the kids played on the trampoline and the swing set and with Legos and played musical chairs.
When we got home, the kids played Super Smash Bros. You know, a game.
Part of the problem is that after a few weeks and months playing very interesting and cool games at gamer day, we managed to acquire most of those games for ourselves. There ended up being fewer and fewer reasons to go to gamer day (aside from the social interacting aspect, and some days my kids would play together at gamer day, just as if they were at home and there were no other kids around - it really depended on the mix of kids there on any given week). I suppose that's why today is the first day we've gone in several months.
The only real attraction left at gamer day is the trampoline. We've talked about getting a trampoline at our house, and I hope we never do, then my kids would have zero reason to want to go to gamer day.
