I woke up early, for me - approximately 10:30. S was already up watching cartoons, and I woke up C since he always wants me to wake him when I get up these days.

After a quick trip to the feed store for hay and beet pulp, C and S played on the hay in the back of the truck while I cleaned up Ezra's pen. The game on the hay lasted so long I decided to saddle Ezra up and ride him in his pen. Then I opened the gate while still on horseback and rode a little in the yard.

Eventually M came home from the gun show, so I was able to take Ezra out on the road. H and S came with me on their bikes. It was fun to ride with them along, but unfortunately Ez was being an idiot on the road. He chose not to go past a certain spot where I had about 10 feet of clearance between a block wall and a slightly busy paved road. It took maybe 10 tries, with a lot of spinning and backtracking (and me worrying about Ezra backing into or kicking the wall) before I finally got him to go past that spot and continue on the way I wanted him to go. A little while later he spun unexpectedly and dislodged one of my feet from it's stirrup. I kept my seat, though, which I was kind of proud of, and got Ezra to mostly behave himself the rest of the way home.

S rode some after we got home. H rode some as well, and even got Ezra to trot for her. C sat on Ezra for a few minutes. Ez is a totally different horse when the kids are on him and controlling him (he can still be a spazz when I'm ponying him). Damn split personality horse.

I made my lemon chicken for dinner, then watched a few episodes of Star Gate SG-1.
