Two cats

Frankie and Splatcat were sitting in the living room, close enough for me to photo together, and Splatcat wasn't growling (Frankie never growls at anything besides the dog these days). S thought maybe Splatcat was being so calm because she didn't see Frankie behind the ottoman.

"She's getting better"

was M's reaction when I showed him H's latest drawing.

I like how she used brown lines to represent tree branches covered in foliage.

H says her hobbies are drawing and singing.

Lord of the Rings

I got M the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy for Christmas. We watched them over the past three days.

"Lord of the Rings" is now S's favorite movie/movies.

Her favorite character is Legolas. She likes him because, "he is the smart one."

He became her favorite after he jumped onto a cave troll's head and shot him in the head (the first movie). S thought a lot of the movie up to that point was scary, but she thought the combat scenes were very funny.

Her favorite part is in the third movie when Legolas climbs onto one of the the giant elephants, shoots it in the head, slides down it's trunk, then jumps off.

H's favorite character is also Legolas, but the movies are only almost her favorites.
