Sandra Dodd has collected lots of information on unschooling at her website.
But she also blogs and does other interesting things with her time. Including an online adaptation of the game Encore (I've never actually played Encore, but am tempted to acquire it sometime as it sounds really fun, especially for the musically minded of us).
Basically, a word is chosen and you have to think up at least eight words in a row from a song (including the chosen word) and sing them - in the case of the online game, type them. For example, if the word is "rock" then "when the wind blows, the cradle will rock" from rock-a-bye baby would work. No googling before hand to come up with lyrics, though.
M and I both like to play on Sandra's game. My blogger identity is Freedom. M and I have an edge, we're the only filkers playing, so if we can't think of a mainstream song that will work, we can usually come up with a filk someone's written.
