CopperCon and Hula
Aug. 31st, 2008 09:51 pmWe just got back from CopperCon. Very tired, as is usual after a Con weekend. M was a participant so he was fairly busy. The kids and I mostly spent our time swimming, watching TV in the hotel room or hanging out in the Con suite.
On Saturday I took H to her Hula recital. It went really well. H's class performed a song then the main Hula Lady's touring hula troop performed. They alternated till H's class did all three of their prepared songs.
At the end each girl received a certificate with their Hawaiian name (H's is Ho'ohanohano), a gift bag and a necklace made of candy wrapped in colored plastic. They even had food for everyone after the dancing was over.
M had a concert on Saturday at the same time as H's Hula, so he couldn't make it. I video taped most of it, however.
