There was an add on TV about a preschool. They had parents singing it's praises and the phrase that struck me as the most absurd was "they make learning fun".
That is so turned around. People learn when they are having fun - learning doesn't have to be made fun. Learning is not some drudgery that needs to be dressed up to trick people into doing it. Our society's acceptance that learning takes place only in educational institutions leads to this backward thinking that "we make learning fun" is an accomplishment worth touting. Try to not learn something when you're enjoying yourself.
People learn all the time. It's as natural as breathing. Of course, the desire to consciously learn can be crushed out of an individual with enough time in an "educational" setting.
