Funny what you can learn by watching TV

Lately the kids have gotten back into watching Inu Yasha. This is nice for me, as I have always liked that anime. Today while watching, one of the characters (in the modern era portion of the show) was outside a flower shop. H noticed a sign and said, "Five Hundred dollars for flowers?!".

This led to a discussion of Yen vs Dollars. Turns out in todays exchange rate, that would have been about $5.60 for those flowers. Pretty good considering Valentines day is coming up ;-).
