Two Yeses for the price of one.
Mar. 29th, 2009 02:07 amI was in desperate need of some shorts, so C and I went to our local Good Will yesterday. It was half off Saturday, my favorite time to go shopping.
In addition to finding three pairs of shorts, C found a toy for a dollar and I found a pair of shoes for M. I wasn't sure the shoes would fit, but they were his style and in excellent condition. I was very happy to pay a dollar for C to have a "new" toy.
Well, the shoes didn't fit, so C and I headed back to the store to return them. While I was returning the shoes, C decided he didn't want his toy any more. He had had a chance to take it home and show it to Dad and his sisters and was done.
It still had the tag on it so we returned the toy along with the shoes. Instead, I bought him a soda. I got to get him what he wanted, twice, with the same dollar.
I wouldn't have planned it that way, but I'll take it.
