H's Silkworm
Nov. 21st, 2009 01:55 amH got a silkworm a little over a week ago. She took care of it and it has survived well enough to start spinning a cocoon. H is sad, since the life expectancy of the average silkworm after it emerges as a moth is one week. She is already morning it's passing. She wants to remember the silkworm forever and wrote a song for it.
Oh Silkie, my Silkie,
my wonderful silkworm.
You are so wonderful,
even if you are a girl
or a boy or a both.
I'll love you forever and ever, a thousand times that.
And every ever is two million and a thousand and one.
And I'll remember you, oh Silkie,
for as long as I will love you.
I'll love you even if you are a moth or a silkworm.
And you are one of my best friends.
I'll love you even when you're gone.
And even I'm gone, too.
Even if you cannot hear me, or understand me,
I will still love you.
You are so brilliant.
The smartest silkworm I've ever known.
