New House Update
Dec. 30th, 2009 03:03 pmSo far, since our offer was submitted to the bank:
Over two months have passed.
We have been told twice that our file was assigned to someone and a BPO (mini appraisal) was being ordered. As of yesterday we found out that, instead, we have yet to be assigned to anyone at BofA.
Some of the fencing was cut off at ground level and taken.
Two trees (at least they were dead ones) were cut down and hauled off.
A window was mysteriously broken and boarded up - apparently not by the owner nor realtor. (so what kind of thief breaks a window then makes sure to board it up before he leaves?
We were promised a termite treatment - an offer the sellers' realtor is now backpedaling on.

I'm mentally writing this one off as a lost cause - or at least trying to. I expect that if they ever get back to us, the house and/or property will be too trashed to be worth buying.
