You know your friend's not horsey when...
Mar. 17th, 2010 01:04 am...you tell her about finally closing on horse property and getting to go horse shopping and she says, "Why would you want a horse?"
*blink, blink*
Okay, I get that my husband isn't into horses, and while he really likes having all that extra land to plant trees on, much of his motivation for buying our new house with enough room for me to have a horse fell into the keep the wifey happy category.
But he's a guy. Lots of guys do not get the horse thing.
The thing is, I guess I never really realized that there were any women out there that did not have a little girl somewhere inside them who loves the idea of having a horse of their very own - even if life's circumstances and maturity dictate that they don't have the money/don't want to take on the responsibility/time sink of taking care of one.
But to not really get why someone would want one?
Huh.
