We must be doing something right.
Jun. 17th, 2010 02:03 amLast week I showed the girls how to clean the cat litter. They decided it was easy and fun - after several times each of doing the job themselves they still think it's easy and fun.
Day before yesterday all three kids spontaneously dusted the house for me (H started it, and S and C joined in almost immediately).
Yesterday H asked me to help her write and illustrate a story (it ended up with me typing as she dictated it - with just a little brainstorming by me to help her decide what the protagonist might be up to).
Yesterday evening the kids surrounded me on the futon and took turns creating and singing songs in our own version of a game of Encore. For the word "cold", C sang a song about blankets and how he shouldn't pile on too many or he would crush himself and break the house. For "fight" he sang about fighting and killing bad guys with his sword.
