Swimming and a Dust Storm
Oct. 2nd, 2010 06:12 pmWe went swimming at the local pool today (Just C, S and I went, H decided to stay home). The pool thermometer read 104 degrees at 2:15. It was nice to be in the water, and it's great to have a pool close by open so late in the season, but I sure do wish the weather would notice that it's October already.
A little while after we got home, we got hit with a massive windstorm.
The horse when a little crazy tearing about the yard till M got him back in his pen. We're not sure if it's the wind or the noise that bothers him so much.
All the kids ran went outside for a few minutes once the horse was secured. C said, "S, it's so yellow out here!" when he ran outside after her.
C and S have decided running around with towels and cloths to fly in the wind is loads of fun, and H has decided that dust in her eyes hurts and she'd rather be inside playing Animal Crossing.
I'm just glad we got back from the pool before the wind hit.
ETA: Wind storm followed by rainstorm. I usually don't expect the Universe to listen to my Livejournal whining, but I'll take it :).
