Farrier, Exercise, Road Trip
Nov. 19th, 2010 09:06 pmFarrier came four minutes early, I will reserve judgment until he shows up for the next appointment on December 28th, but so far I'd say not wasting an extra two or three hours of what otherwise would have been sleep time is well worth the forty dollars I paid him. Oh yeah, and he did an okay job on Ezra's feet too.
Biked and walked and scootered a bunch with the kids the past two days - I know I did this, I have the sore muscles to prove it.
I rode Ezra bareback for about 10 minutes today after he tore around the yard trying to escape being caught. I'm actually rather relieved he got that much energy out before I got on him.
I'm trying to figure out how to make taking care of our animals less complicated, so M can pinch hit for me sometime. I'd like to visit my parents next year, and given the new TSA craziness, I expect I'll never get on another airplane again, unless M manages to get a pilots license and we get him a plane (which wouldn't be happening anytime next year anyway). This means I'll have to include travel time in my estimated absence, and M will have to take care of the critters for a minimum of four to five days.
