Happy Ending

Late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning depending on how one wishes to look upon 12:30am) a pair of dogs showed up in our garage.





Very friendly, well cared for, bereft of any identification. We closed the front gate, petted, fed and watered them.

The next day we searched for the owners - no one in our area recognized the dogs. We ended up putting up pictures at the flood irrigation sign up area and the local grocery store.

A few hours later we got the call - grocery store for the win.

It turns out the puppy (7 months old) is named Kiwi, and the older dog (5 years old) is Abby.

I had to refuse money from the owner about five times before he would believe me.

They were from north across a fairly busy road.

Tax cuts do not equate to government spending, damn it.

"if we spend a trillion dollars on tax cuts for them [people earning more than 250K per year]."

I am so past sick and tired of this sort of rhetoric on tax cuts. If the government cuts taxes it is not spending money, it is stealing less money.

Sigh.

Earlier in the same speech he said, "if we spend trillions of dollars on more tax cuts mostly for the wealthy..."
