The other day we carried the goslings outside (in the box shown in the first picture below). Once we got them to their yard, I tipped the box sideways so they could walk out on their own. As expected, the goslings loved being outside. They tried to eat lots of different greens (one - the one we are currently calling Talon) was focused on biting off the little yellow flowers from S's favorite wildflower (we think it is some kind of mustard).
While out there, S and C made a lovely mixed greens buffet for the goslings (torn up bits of various plants collected on one stretch of ground). The goslings seemed to have an easier time eating the smaller pieces off the ground, rather than biting pieces directly from the plants (though not for lack of trying). They are currently completely oblivious to any attempts by us to hand feed them.
