How we see ourselves is not always how others see us.

I was having a conversation with my Dad the other day and he said he wasn't a type A personality like me.

..... me a type A?

You know, he said, so you can keep up with all your animals and things.

..... ummm .....

I told him I wasn't a type A, maybe somewhere between an A and a B since I never seem to fit nicely in any one group*. He laughed and said he is a C-.

You see, what is really going on is my parents instilled in me a very strong work ethic. I don't work hard because I have the energy to do so, I work hard in spite of not having the energy to do so.


* though, I have to admit, it has been years since I've read the descriptions and I think I'm too lazy to bother to look them up now - so what does that tell ya ;-)
