Weed pulling and Wobbles
Jul. 27th, 2015 01:58 pmThe other day, C decided he was out of shape. I explained to him that I moved and exercised every day because of the work I do taking care of our animals and our yard. I persuaded him to start joining me outside every day as a helper.
The new routine shaping up is that he waters the horses and birds for me (the ones in the duck/goose/chicken yard) every morning. That is a given. He has also started shifting hay for me from Ezra's to Junior's pen.
Anything else is extra.
So the other day when I needed to clean up the yard to get the garbage out in time for garbage pickup, C grabbed a rake and pitched in. And the two days after flood day when the ground was soft enough to make weed pulling relatively easy, C joined me in the duck/goose/chicken yard. He pulled and hauled weeds for me. While pulling weeds, C was quickly joined by the male goose, Wobbles. Some time in the past year, C grew tall enough that Wobbles stopped attacking him and started acting love struck towards him like he does with the girls.

Wobbles also likes to test the weeds we pull to see if any of them taste better piled up, rather than growing out of the ground.
