Goose Relationships.

Two of the female geese are obsessed with the babies. They will follow us, yell, and try to get as close as they can manage. The white one will sometimes chase off the grey one, as if to say, "My babies! Back off bitch." So far, the crazy momma geese haven't harmed the goslings, so I let them out and around the babies in the hopes that will aid in the babies eventual transition to being outside birds. Unfortunately, the white goose's husband is an asshole. He went after Peanut once, so Peanut is terrified of him, and I don't trust him.





ETA: While Mocha usually seems chill about the extra company, Peanut is often on high alert when the adult geese are around, so this morning I gave the babies a peaceful morning outing with just the three if us. Peanut ate much better and seemed so much more relaxed, I may have to make mornings adult goose free for a while.
