I hadn't grocery shopped in a couple of days and the online reporting about scarcity had me worried about what I would find this morning. There was way more food on the shelves than the reports were indicating. There was no flour, but they had obviously recently restocked the sugar. I also managed cheese, milk, and bread.
I had to brirfly stand in line to be let into the big box grocery store I went to. It was a shortish line, so I was going to pass the time blogging about it. I wasn't stuck in line long enough to even write the first sentence, so not too bad. The inside of the store was very peaceful. I even decided to buy more than 15 items at once and forego self checkout.
The line was longer when I came out, but nothing remotely like the videos showing up on the interwebs lately.
They were, of course, still out of toilet paper, so I suppose if I had gotten up even earlier I might have seen a worse line of people waiting for the store to open to get first dibs at the paper products.
Our small grocery store was also out of toilet paper. Out of curiosity, I checked the potato area, and sure enough, it was empty. I guess it's good M got into my head last weekend and convinced me to buy extra potatoes.
