Almost every large fireworks display has been cancelled. I bet the pop-up corner fireworks vendors are doing brisk business.

July 2.

Today I bought some fireworks from one of those pop-up tents that appear on random street corners at certain times of the year. The very nice gentleman, who happened to be open carrying, didn't mention our lack of masks at all while C and I were browsing his wares, then exchanging federal reserve notes for his merchandise.

Later I made a small fire, collected S and C, and we set off some sparklers.
