July 24. R.I.P Pete.

We had a vet come out to the house Friday morning to put Pete down. C spent the entire night before, up with him, keeping him company, feeding him human food. Pete's spirit was strong, but his body was failing him.

Everyone was there and afterwards we let the cat and other dog see the body, in the hopes that they would understand that he was gone.

He was with us for almost 11 years. He was 2 1/2 when we got him. Best craigslist dog ever.
