Twitter and Cider.
Aug. 15th, 2022 03:06 pmI think I may have to stay off Twitter for a while. Not keeping abreast of current events will be annoying, but keeping abreast of current social and political trends has been way too damaging to my calm of late.
In other news, I went to our local Total Wine and More for the first time ever. I was in search of a pear cider and found they had a very decent selection of many different brands of ciders.
I wanted something for those occasions my husband pulls out a beer to drink with dinner; I had no equivalent, low alcohol content drink, that wasn't beer, in the house. I took a sip of his Sam Adams last night, yep still can't stand beer.
Since I have been essentially a teetotaler for the past 25 years, barring the last 6 months,
S was perplexed by the conversation that led to the shopping excursion. C being better informed than his sister, piped up helpfully with, "Mom drinks alcohol now".
Yeah, that's where we are.
