Kids and Money

crazychicknladyToday H and I walked to a yard sale down the street. On the way back we saw a neighborhood girl the kids play with every once in a while. H was showing the girl what she bought and commented that she used her own money to buy it. The girl responded in a perplexed tone, "you have your own money?".
Huh.
This girl turns 9 really soon.
My girls have been navigating the complexities of buying things with their own money since they were three or four, and C has been buying things for himself for several months now.
Ah well, to each his own.
