Christmas decorations didn't go up until after Thanksgiving? This evening, two days after Halloween, I was going on a walk with S and C. On one side of the street were some very nice Halloween decorations, on the other some very elaborate Christmas decorations. Mind you, I like Christmas lights and decorations, they make December a very pretty month. The key word in the previous sentence is December.

We had a whole bunch of folks with what looked like Christmas lights up before Halloween in our old neighborhood. Turned out they were in celebration of a Hindu light festival October 28-29.

These decorations involve lighted reindeer and an air filled Santa in an airplane with gifts in tow; I think in my case it's a pretty safe bet those are up for Christmas ;-).
