We got the the kids a WiiU for an early Christmas present. The kids bought themselves Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild, earlier today.
It then took several more hours of fighting with tech to get everything to work right. It turned out the game was so large we needed an external hard drive, which we succeeded in making work with the second one we tried.
The boy is very happy, so stress and struggle worth it.
ETA: And then, two days later, the hard drive had a fatal error. A week after that, with a brand new hard drive, with an external power source, formatted and ready to go, all the kids had to start over.
