Caring for Kids.

crazychicknladyI spent last weekend nursing a sick kid.
I spent last week cleaning the house in anticipation of hosting an event today.
Now I get to spend the weekend nursing the reason we had to cancel said event.
I still have one more kid who hasn't had to camp out on my futon, yet. We'll see how next weekend looks.
I actually feel weirdly blessed right now to be the Mom. It helps that one kid has already been through the worst, so I know this is beatable with time and supportive care I can do from home. It's hard when our kids are hurting, but I have a clean, warm place to plant this current one, and I have the time and resources to help her get better.
