I don't know how many more of these I'll do. I've noticed something about myself over the years. I have a lot of enthusiasm at the beginning of a project, but that dies off after not too long. I suppose that's why I used to like making baby blankets. They are inherently a shorter length project.
I don't know if this tendency to lose interest after such a short time is a flaw built into my nature, or something brought about by my exposure to years, upon years, of classic schooling.
Maybe a little of both.
Still, I am grateful for the free time I can provide my kids for the pursuit of their passions and projects.

It's hard to avoid comparisons, especially with social media shoving everyone's, best of, glamour reels into my awareness every time I log on. My son doesn't create in the concrete, easily pointed to way, but he is wildly creative, loves people, and likes to spend time on multiplayer games. I am grateful for him.
