crazychicknladyS has been wanting one of these Fur Real birds for nearly a year now. She has been saving her money off and on (sometimes deciding to put off getting the bird to buy something less expensive). When she first met the bird it was $69.99 at Toys R Them. We searched ebay, and found some advertised as new for about $57.00 (including shipping). We even ran across one at a Kaybee's a few months back on clearance for $45.00. There are some beat up looking ones in clearance right now at our local Toys R Them, for about $56.00.
The reason one followed me home today: Target has them brand new and pretty for $19.99. Boggle. S had enough to buy one at that price.
Actually, more than one followed me home. C was with me and convinced me he needed one too. It'll count as an early Christmas present for him.
