Rain and Politics.
Jul. 30th, 2019 08:03 pmWe finally got our first good storm of the monsoon season. About freaking time.
In other news, S and I watched the first night of the second democratic debate together. It almost looked like we weren't going to be able to play our not really drinking, drinking game, but the closing statements saved the night. Our game: whenever someone calls our Country a democracy, yell "We are not a democracy!", then drink. Of course, we don't really have drinks, since S is only 16, but the yelling is really satisfying. I heard it suggested on twitter to use racism as the drinking word. For anyone doing that, there was one segment that would have landed everyone in the hospital for alchohol poisoning.
Unfortunately, we have our last glass class tomorrow night, so S and I won't be able to watch the second night of the second democratic debate. Ah well, at least we got to see the one with Marianne Williamson in it.
Relating to my first news, I love the sound of rain on the metal roof of the shade structure in the horse yard. I came out with C to do evening animal stuff and it was only raining a little. Within two minutes I had to seek shelter under that very same shade.
