Old Christmas Tree: Part II
Jan. 18th, 2009 04:24 pmToday I asked C if he wanted cut up his Christmas tree, and he said yes. I was ready for him to say no, as we have plenty of room in our backyard for a dead tree to sit for a long while.
No muss, no fuss. I'm glad I let him take his time coming to peace with letting go of the tree.

C liked the idea of cutting up the Christmas
tree with his favorite set of clippers.

It only took one match to get started.

Once things really got going.

Pretty ashes.

We're just now getting ready to pull our tree and lights down, we got a potted Spruce that we should be able to pot up one size and use again next year.

Date: 2009-01-19 08:50 pm (UTC)As to energy change, I totally agree. It almost always has to do with slowing down and finding my calm. Pushing against one of my children just because I want something now, makes them feel powerless and unheard; which leads to unhappy kiddos, and generally an unhappy me as well.
