May 21. Misadventures in music lessons.

Once upon a time we payed a lot of money for my son to take in person music lessons. We were okay with this, because he had a teacher that suited his personality well and he was making great strides.

Then the government shut everything down. A few weeks later, we were cheerfully informed that for the same amount of money we could have virtual lessons.

Um, no. We took a break.

A few months went by and we were told that in person lessons could happen again.

And there was much rejoicing.

I even talked the manager into using some of our stacked up makeups to cover the cost of June, especially since some of those were the result of the cancellation of March.

All seemed well in lesson land. The boy was happy, the girl was extending her break till August for her own reasons, and music filled the house.

Then the email came. The one explaining how students would be required to wear masks. Welp, that was fun while it lasted. Looks like we're extending our break.

I'm starting to wonder how long I should wait before completely giving up and making a stink till I can get money back for all those piled up makeups. I think I'll give it a couple of months, but I'll be sure to get hubby's input when he gets home.
