Park Stuff
Apr. 23rd, 2009 07:50 amWe made it to the park very early this morning. Earlier than the fellows who rake the sand and pick up garbage.
Cries of "I want to get one.","I found more garbage." and, "I want to do it." quickly ensued as my kids took it upon themselves to clean up the park.
Once satisfied with their efforts they went by the drinking fountain to wash their hands. This led to the discovery that the bathroom makes a very satisfying echo from the entrance.
We saw a few grasshoppers and made plans to bring H's butterfly net to help us get a closer look at the various insects next time.
We spent some time on the scooters.
We played firemen and rescued several dogs and cats.
A man showed up with a remote control airplane. After watching him fly it for a bit the girls asked if we could get a small one. I've agreed to look into the feasibility of such a purchase.
After a bit of hanging up side down, and a mad dash for some last minute sliding, we headed home.
