crazychicknladyM took Hazel dove hunting with him. They went last week fairly close to home and she had a really good time. She did really well, didn't wander off too far (came back whenever M called), and got to smell lots of fun new smells. Unfortunately M didn't find any doves close to home.
So this weekend M took her across town (where the hunting's better) to meet up with some guys from one of his gun groups. Hazel really enjoyed meeting all the guys, and getting the extra attention. She sniffed lots of good new smells while M downed a few birds, then she disappeared. M said Hazel was sniffing along a small wash, he shot a dove and watched it fall, and when he looked up she was gone.
M and all the hunters looked for two hours. Then he called me and the kids and I drove across town with signs. We looked around a bit more, then posted Lost Dog signs. We used the photo above, one H took last December.
Hopefully a "Found" post will follow soon.
