My Wonderful Handy Husband
Apr. 10th, 2010 11:38 amI love our new place, but there are lots of little things (and bigger projects) that have had to be taken care of since we closed on the property - Mind you, M's Honey Do list is still mighty long.
Since we've moved in M has changed the locks, put down laminate in C's room and painted one of his walls blue, replaced various non functioning outlets, swapped out some regular switches for dimmer switches, added a gate to one of our fences, replaced the water heater (twice), reinstalled fans, added a much needed water cut off valve, run conduit from the electrical box to the gazebo, removed shelving from the old house and put up shelving in the new house and started building a chicken coop (started last night and will very likely finish today).
I'm sure there is more, but you get the idea.

Notice how the cut off valve to the house is above the valve M put in. Thus if there had been a leak in the hose attached to that pipe (and the hose that came with the house was very long), the only way to stop the water would be to turn it off at the street.

The invisible fire. C was watching M work and he told M, "Daddy, I hate the invisible fire." M said, "So do I son, so do I."

M, not just running conduit, but letting C help.

New Cat in C's room Easter morning. Note the blue wall and the oak colored laminate peaking out from under the street rug.
