Nightcheck with the Girls
Jun. 4th, 2010 10:48 amI always check on Ezra before I go to sleep - just to make sure he's okay, has enough food and enough water. H and S came with me for nightcheck last night (C was already asleep). So what would have been a five minute exercise turned into at least half an hour (would have gone even longer, but it was late and I was tired and really needed to get some sleep) of stuffing Ezra with as much Bermuda grass as the girls could pick.
It was a good experience all around. The girls felt closer to Ezra, Ezra had yummy things to associate with the two little girls in his life, and I pulled up at least 30 little tumbleweed plants while waiting.
BTW, carrying an armful of tumbleweed across the length of a very long yard to get them into the garbage is very pokie (as is pulling them out without finding a pair of gloves first).
