Last night I stayed up extra late with H and S - telling stories, laughing, it was almost like a slumber party. It was sweet, and fun, and if I could somehow manage on a daily basis with way less sleep than normal, I'd love to do that again most nights.

As it was, there was a very last minute decision for the girls to drive with Daddy out to Opa and Grandma's house to be able to attend Opa's 70th Birthday party (Grandma only gave us about 3 days notice of the party, and M didn't decide to drive out there till yesterday afternoon - then he offered to take each girl in turn, and they didn't decide to go until about 10pm last night).

I wanted to spend the extra time with the girls since the earliest they'll be back is Monday afternoon.

My house is empty of kids, save one, and it feels so wrong.
