....Long time passing ;-).

When I started journaling over three years ago I had to decide if I wanted to blog or livejournal. I chose livejournal because I knew more people in real life who livejournalled than blogged back then. Now the numbers have swapped, and in addition, very few of my livejournal friends post anymore.

I'm a creature of habit, so I'm unlikely to switch formats now (though I've toyed with the idea now and again), but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I made the wrong choice back then.

I've started using facebook some, but I've recently realized how temporary it is. My wall goes back only so far, then it disappears. I know some things stay, and maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but I'm trying to understand the purpose of a written medium, where you can't look back as far as you want and see what was written.

I like my journal, it acts as my memory of sorts.

Mostly, though, I miss the updates from my friends who used to post regularly on livejournal.
