I am hosting our first sleepover.
A girl about H's age whom all my kids adore.
We got pizza.
I popped popcorn.
I sliced up an inhuman amount of oranges.
We walked to the nearby petting zoo.
The girls got very dirty walking back, since they cut through an empty field which was recently dug up and it hasn't rained in a while.
The 25th anniversary performance of Les Miserables was on PBS (thanks to pledge week) when we got back from the walk, so the kids watched that, drew, our guest worked on playing Fur Elise during the breaks - an oddly cultured night, really.
Now the kids (all of them, even C is being allowed to join in) are holed up in H's room playing dolls and horses.
Since their friend is naturally an early riser, and my kids are night owls, I expect we will be delivering a very tired girl back to her parents tomorrow.
ETA: C lasted approximately 5 minutes before he left the girls to their game and decided he would much rather find his plastic pitcher so he could offer the girls water to drink.
