Ducks, ducks, ducks, ducks!

Well, bright and early this morning (7am) I got the call. The ducklings were at the post office.

Yay!

Rousted the kiddos, S and C went with me, H decided to grab an extra twenty of minutes of sleep and meet the new babies when I got them back to the house.

There was a bigger box of live birds next to ours at the post office. The lady working there said they were used to getting live animals, but was surprised they would be okay getting delivered during the heat of summer.

I borrowed a pair of scissors, cut the straps and popped open the top to take a peek.

Yeah, we know we're cute.

We got them home and introduced them to the dogs and New Cat. The geese came up to the back door to beg for food and attention while we were busy with the new babies. After about an hour and a half I called it quits, put on some cartoons in my bedroom for C and tried to get a few more hours of sleep (I was running on about 3 hours up to that point).

Everyone eventually got a nap - whew.
