I thought raising lambs would be a good project for the girls. Especially if there were a way for them to keep the animals, rather than sell them at market.
The Lamb coordinator got back to me today.
Good news: the girls could raise and show ewes, and keep them.
Bad news: average cost of lambs - $200-$350 each.
Ouch, talk about sticker shock.
We may put off lambs till next year.
