Wednesday - C came down sick. We went to the Natural History Museum anyway, so I could renew our membership for the year. The kids all bought rock candy, but C was feeling so poorly he just brought his home and put it away without eating any. S hurt her leg while trying to prune an orange tree with brute force.
Thursday - Flood day at 9am (also known as happy, happy duck flood day). I fought the gophers, and the gophers won. Arts and Crafts/Photography meeting for the girls in the evening. C felt okay enough to play on the subdivision's playground while waiting for the girls.
Friday - I cleaned the front porch. It started out with me moving the bikes out of the way in case M got trick-or-treaters and snowballed from there. M and S went to a coffee shop to see the performance of a filk/folk singer we know. We caught the mouse that was living under our stove. We tried feeding it to the ducks with lackluster results. Too bad it was too late for the chickens to be up. We had a fire and the kids roasted marshmallows.
Saturday - S came down sick, and her leg hurt her too much to go to archery today. H went and got one (maybe two) arrows in the nine ring - the leader found her a left handed bow and that helped her aim a lot. M and C dug a few holes and planted a new pluot tree.
