Renaissance Festival 2012.
Mar. 19th, 2012 11:45 pmThe kids really like going to our local Renaissance Festival. When they were little we went in garb, but trying to keep up costumes for growing kids can be a challenge, and in the past few years we've just gone in street clothes. H wants to go in garb next year, so we'll see if Grandma and Daddy can pull something together by then (I can sew on a button and fix a seam, but that's the extent of my sewing experience, so we really need someone besides me to pull that off).
We always catch at least one stage show at Faire. The Wyld Men Mud Show.

Then, of course, the kids love the rides.

We got sidetracked on our search for pizza and icees by a very entertaining and amusing street juggler. C got to assist him, by holding his ladder as he fueled his torches.

Yes, torches.

There was some fire breathing involved, too.

Oh, and Ren Faire just isn't Ren Faire till you're tied to a tree.
