Ode to the old red truck.
May. 31st, 2012 09:21 pmWhile we were going to pick up M's Mustang from the mechanic, yet again, C spontaneously started making up and singing a song about my old Expedition. You know, the one that threw a wheel last year. We had that truck since before C was born - bought it when I was pregnant, actually, in anticipation of needing more space with three kids.
C was very attached to it.
There was more to the song, which he sung with his sweet little voice, but at first I was too busy listening to think to write it down.
Old Red Truck
We are best pals forever.
It is still alive in my memory.
It's soul is still with me.
This red car is the very first car I ever had, even though it wasn't mine.
We were together all of my life.
We were pals forever and ever.
It might be alive,
even though it's probably not.
It's soul is still with me.
C was very attached to it.
There was more to the song, which he sung with his sweet little voice, but at first I was too busy listening to think to write it down.
