Father's Day.

crazychicknladyI heard a Father's Day ad earlier today, and seeing as I consider it to be part of my job to alert the kiddos to upcoming holidays and events, I mentioned to C and H (the children nearby when I heard the ad) that Father's Day is coming soon.
C looked concerned, and told me how he was okay with getting me a Mother's Day present, but he didn't really want to get Dad a Father's Day present. Sounding a little indignant, H asked him to explain himself. He said, "You know, Mom takes care of us and stuff." H protested that Dad works to support us, and C immediately responded with, "Well, Dad's not a bum."
