After a month off of karate, C's classes started up again Wednesday. He did fine.

Today we are high tailing it to the pool near our old house, since it closes for the school year after Sunday.

I'm trying to work with S on her reading every day. She has declared "Reading is fun!" on more than one occasion, so I must have been doing something right.

4-H should be starting up part way through next month, with the info meeting at the end of this month. A month should seem like a long way off, but we've already made it through two this summer and my head is still spinning with how fast they went by.

A Con is coming up in less than a month, and there will be some practice needed to be worked in before that happens on a Dr. Who Radio play, that M and I will both likely be participating in.

Another con is coming up a month after that, but it will be Dad dragging a grand kid or two to be dropped off with grandparents, while I stay home and hold down the fort kind of Con, so I'm not sure if that counts too much towards the busy - besides the packing, of course.

A way to let kids read harder than their level books: get the audio and the written versions from the library and let the child in question follow along for themselves. :-) S--

I realize that my last comment is utterly irrelevant to your post, but it just came to me. In essence: I was inspired. S--
