Fun Fighting Game
Feb. 19th, 2009 02:24 pmYesterday, while H was in her gymnastics class, C, S and I played a fun fighting game.
C used a plastic sword he had purchased earlier from the dollar store, S collected some sticks from the grass for wands, and I was the bad guy.
C used the wind scar attack (we'd convinced him to do distance attacks, as none of us wanted to be hit by his sword), and S made up spells to attack me and counter my spells.
This led many times to me on my back on the grass, looking up at C's smiling face as he said, "I killed you, Mommy.", followed quickly by his, "Heal" to bring me back to life as a different bad guy.
I was impressed by C's flexibility in the play. He would react to my different attacks to defend himself. For example, when I had acorns raining down on his head he used his sword to knock them out of the way.
