Zoo on Super Bowl Sunday

Seeing as I have zero interest in Football, the Super Bowl holds no appeal for me. I did appreciate the great deals I managed on some food stuffs yesterday, however, thanks to the stores vying for customers shopping for Super Bowl parties. It made my frugal heart happy.

After I finished helping M with flood irrigation this morning, the kids and I went to the zoo. Last Sunday was so packed we had to park in overflow parking. Today, however, my guess that there would be fewer people there this weekend was quite correct. We had a great time, and even though it seems like half the zoo is under renovation, we walked around quite a bit and saw lots of animals. We also played on the various play equipment they have scattered about the place, including the cactus slide and giant spider web.

And this time we managed to bring some birdseed to feed the ducks outside the zoo.
