Trick-or-Treating.
Nov. 1st, 2011 10:51 amTrick-or-treating went okay.
We didn't get to the place I wanted to try because there were too many streets and they were winding and confusing and the place was a lot bigger than I realized. We still did okay, and most of the houses were giving out candy. But the streets we tried were very overcrowded and I was overwhelmed by the noise and all the people. I started missing our old neighborhood where we had to walk around for a few miles and only four or five houses a street had their porch light on. But there it was dark and quiet and everyone was so happy to get any trick-or-treaters at all they handed the kids handfuls of candy.
At least S's leg was feeling good enough to walk the whole way.
And C had a blast. Five is a good age to enjoy trick-or-treating. Everyone thought he was so cute.
After getting home, H and I tried one street near our house, and it almost felt like old times. It was dark and quiet, except for the dogs. We found one house giving out candy. For H it was enough.
